The city’s historical center is a whole world saturated with expression and personality. Therefore, embedding our lighting solutions in its decoration is a most complex, yet very interesting process. BOOS has found solutions to combine the technology of light and the light of culture in two iconic streets of Almaty.

Abylai Khan Avenue and Aiteke Bi street located in the administrative and cultural center – Almaly district, are two routes important for the urban landscape. BOOS lighting fixtures were used as a part of the comprehensive project of street lighting installations modernization.

When installing the lighting equipment, we had to overcome several difficulties. For example, due to the inability to block traffic on Abylai Khan Avenue in day time, all installation works were carried out at night. Moreover, structural workers had to show delicate technical mastery and unsurpassed skills because lighting poles were installed without dismantling of the existing electrified trolley lines.

Within the framework of the project, a broad range of BOOS products was installed, from various metal structures to luminaires. City administration representatives certified that our metal structures, the only faceted cable-bearing poles in Almaty, had a positive impact on the appearance of the avenue.

The project was implemented together with a partner - NID GROUP.
